Welcome!
The CCFT Men's Ministry is dedicated to helping men become the spiritual leaders that the Lord calls them to be. Accountability, bible study, fellowship, and prayer all contribute to the goal of this ministry, with a little help from the Holy Spirit.
As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.
Proverbs 27:17

:: Our Men's Group ::
Christian men today face many challenges. It seems like everywhere we go, we are pressured into striving for the things of this world, and it is easy to fall away from what is truly important in life. Succeeding in our careers, providing financial support for our families, and escaping the constant draw of worldly lusts... it is more than we can bear sometimes. Fortunately, we are not alone.
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28

Take a look around this website for resources and other information about the ministry and then come join us Tuesday nights from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.

new! September Topic: The Lord's Supper
In a sense, every meal is sacred. We "bless" God each time we sit down to eat. But in the Bible, one meal is more important and meaningful than all the rest.
July Topic: Prophecy
Have you ever had someone tell you that they have a word of prophecy for you? Could it be true? Does God still speak to us through prophecy? Why does God use prophecy? This week, let’s take a look at one of the gifts of the spirit.
February Topic: Repent! Repent! Repent!
Repentance is something that is easily misunderstood. When I was a young Christian, my idea of what it meant to repent was linked to the guy yelling "Repent!" at me on the lawn of the U of A. What does it mean to repent? Who should repent? If I am saved, why should I repent? And How is it accomplished?
Fire Fighters for Christ
Abdo brought a flyer to the Men's Group that he wanted to share with everyone. It is the 2007 Media Catalog from the Fire Fighters for Christ Organization. The Catalog has a huge list of free CD's that you can order on various topics. To check out the catalog, go to http://www.firefightersmedia.org
November Topic: Tithing
This month, let's take a look at the subject of tithing. A few weekends ago, I was up in the White Mountains and attended Calvary Chapel in Pinetop with Pastor Tony Johndrow. He had a great message about giving and I wanted to pass on some of what he had to share.

Throwing rocks can be good
For labor day weekend I went over to sunny San Diego for a quick vacation. In addition to the mandatory beach time, my fiancée and I went to see the Dead Sea Scrolls. The Scrolls will be on display at the San Diego Natural History Museum until December 31, 2007.
September Topic: God's Will
As the first installment in a monthly discussion topic, let's talk about God's will. A prophet sat before a large church and called out a name. A young man stood with his wife. After proving he had divine insight into their lives, the prophet said, "God wants you to move to Kansas, start a farm, and your agricultural innovations will attract international attention, giving third-world governments the means to feed their people."
Wouldn't you like to hear God's voice that clearly? Usually God isn't specific about the details of your life. In fact, it's a good idea to be a little skeptical of people who tell you what God wants you to do. Still, we could use a simple guide to God's will.

Is God a Myth?
My fiancée, Alina, is taking a Science, Religion, and Reality class from NAU. The professor asked students to respond to the following statement:
Some of the students responses were interesting - how would you respond?
Check your wallets
In earlier discussions, the subject of marriage and finances came up. Most of us agreed that a married couple should share the responsibility of money, budget, etc. Check out this article from Crown Ministries and post your comments.
Freedom is available
We will be starting an Accountability Group that will meet every Tuesday night before our regular study (from 6:30pm-7:00pm). This group is meant to provide support for those of us struggling in the area of lust.
Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.
Proverbs 4:23
Pornography is widespread and readily available in present times, and guarding our hearts is increasingly more difficult. If you struggle in this area and want freedom, consider joining us. We will start meeting September 4th, if you have any questions, contact us.
New Bible Study
Our men's ministry has started a new study through the book of Second Peter. Each week, a different member of the group will lead us through a section of the scripture. Come join us Tuesday nights to dig into God's Word!
Get some grub!
If you weren't able to make it to our Food & Fellowship Night, we missed you! Beau shared his testimony and the food was great. Next week we will be starting our new study through the book of 2 Peter.
